STEGEL™ Engineering has successfully designed, manufactured and supplied limpet coil vessels for the chemical industry throughout South Africa & Africa.
Limpet coil manufacturing involves creating a coiled channel, often from half-round pipes, that’s welded onto the exterior of a vessel, typically a reactor or tank, for heating or cooling purposes. This coil, resembling a limpet shell attached to a rock, facilitates efficient heat transfer by circulating a heating or cooling medium.
Limpet coil reactors are widely used in the chemical and process industries for reactions requiring precise temperature control, and they are also utilized in various other applications where efficient heating or cooling is needed, such as in food processing and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
